Jacqueline Humphrey – CPA Counselling
I cannot thank you enough for the excellent support that you provided to my son. He has struggled coping with the loss of his mother for a long time. Due to his disabilities this made the bereavement process a lot harder as he was unable to express his feelings in a way that someone without his disabilities would be able to do.
At the time you met him he had recently moved from his residential school, which had helped him tremendously since the death of his mother, to the new residential care home. This change of environment, as you know, was very difficult for him. Psychologically this was the worst he has ever been and it was a very tough period in his life.
In a very short time you managed to build a very good relationship with him and he always looked forward to your meetings. Using various techniques you managed to overcome the communication barrier so well and were able to get him to express his feelings and emotions. You made all the meetings fun and always left him smiling. Your expertise and genuine care has had a massive impact on his well-being. For this we are all truly grateful.
You may not be aware but you also provided great support to me as it was very difficult seeing him suffering so much. You were also someone who I could confide in and you helped me make the correct decision to move him away from the home he was in.
He is now a much, much happier person and is mentally and physically so much healthier. A lot of this is down to you and the professionalism, honesty, generosity and true genuine care that you showed. You are amazing, I cannot recommend you enough!
He would love to see you again so next time you are in the area please feel free to drop in.
